Star Wars: Galactic Racer players asked, and Fuse Games listened. The hit arcade racer — one of the best-reviewed games of 2026 — has received its first quality-of-life update, and the biggest change is exactly the one fans demanded most: online multiplayer party size has been increased from 3 players to 6.
Until now, you could only bring two friends into a multiplayer Tour with you. Now whole groups can race together through the Tours — the multi-round events inspired by the game’s roguelite campaign, where you bet on rivals and earn parts to upgrade your vehicle for the final race.
“We can’t wait to see you challenge more of your friends in multiplayer Tours,” the developers wrote in the patch notes, thanking players for the feedback that drove the update.
Good News for PC Players: Keyboard Presets Are Here
The update also tackles one of the loudest PC complaints — the lack of key rebinding. This patch adds multiple keyboard layout presets, including support for AZERTY keyboards and layouts for left- and right-handed players.
Fuse Games is upfront that this is a first step, not the final fix: full key rebinding support is “on the horizon” and will arrive in a future update.
More Credits, Fewer Accidents
Three smaller changes will quietly improve every session:
More credits for late joiners: joining an online Tour already in progress now pays 6,000 credits instead of 4,000 — a fairer reward for jumping in mid-event.
No more accidental quits: the “Exit the game” option has been removed from the multiplayer menu on PC, purely to stop players quitting by mistake.
Smoother spectating: transitions for the Spectator camera view in multiplayer have been tidied up.
The Fixes
The patch rounds out with stability work: a batch of party stability fixes, a fix for a PlayStation 5 connection issue, and a fix for a PC crash linked to AMD Frame Interpolation.
One Warning Before You Play
Read this before your first race after updating: the developers warn that they have seen instances of campaign vehicle customization resetting after the update. Check your vehicle’s setup first — and rebuild it if needed — before heading into a Tour, so you are not caught out on the start line.
